Retired Rector of St Peter’s Episcopal Church& Dean of the Northwest Convocation 

Born Polish Catholic in Cleveland Ohio – lovingly described by family as ‘The Mistake by the Lake’ – he moved to Southern California as a teen – the land of sex, drugs and rock ’n roll – of which he took full advantage through high school and college.  He attended graduate school and seminary in Berkeley CA.  Ordained in the Diocese of Los Angeles in 1983, he was struck to the earth into a life of recovery September 1985 while serving the first of three parishes in Los Angeles.  Jeff is now retired after twenty-eight years as Rector of St Peter’s in Carson City, the longest serving priest in the 156-year history of the parish, all thanks to AA and Al-Anon.  His wife Marietta and he were introduced at the 2012 Episcopal Church General Convention in Indianapolis.  She is also in AA & Al-Anon recovery.  He has four grown children and five grandchildren, all residing in northern Nevada.  He and Marietta are active in Al-Anon as well, leading AA, Al-Anon and mixed recovery retreats.  Recovery is the cornerstone of his vocation as a priest, his life as a married man, a dad, and a grandfather.

The retreat in St David Arizona at Holy Trinity Monastery was fantastic. It really helped me a lot. I greatly appreciate Fr Jeff for leading it and keeping us together.
